Discover Diving

The NAUI Advanced Diver Program is an all open water course for divers who would like to gain additional dive experience with the guidance of a professional dive instructor. The course includes six dives focusing on development of dive planning skills, navigation and improved dive skills. Divers may complete the required six dives in as little as one weekend. All students in the Advanced Diver Program begin by enrolling in an Advanced Diver Seminar, held once or twice a month during the dive season. This three hour seminar includes a review of basic dive equipment, dive planning, dive tables, navigation drills and planning of the six required dives. Dives may be completed anytime within 6 months of the seminar.

A total of six dives are required, three of which make up the core of the program and three others which may be selected from a variety of choices based on your preferences. The core dives include navigation, night or low visibility and a deep dive (below 60 ft). Elective dives may include boat diving, wreck diving, drift diving, and diving with computers. Each dive begins with a special pre-dive and concludes with a post-dive briefing with your instructor to discuss learning objective and review individual performance.

Prerequisites: Must be a certified scuba diver, minimum 10 years of age with no known medical contraindications for diving. No other experience is necessary. Divers must provide their own dive equipment, but rental packages are available if needed.

The course tuition for the NAUI Advanced Diver Program is $175 per diver and includes the following:

The Advanced Diver Seminar, scheduled monthly at Discover Diving
All instructional material including the award winning NAUI Educational System with Advanced Diver textbook, DVD, Surface Air Consumption (SAC) Calculator and additional support materials.
All classroom and open water instruction.
Registration fees for your NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver certification card.
