Discover Diving

We have combined the NAUI Deep Diver and Helitrox courses into one training program with the goal of providing you with advanced knowledge and skills to execute deep dive with improved safety and clarity. Deep dives are defined as any dive deeper than 60 fsw and for this course, to a maximum depth of 130 fsw. This course introduces the use of helium between 13% to 17% of the total gas mix. The added helium reduces nitrogen content in the breathing gas mix resulting in a significant reduction in narcosis during the deeper phase of the dive. The diver therefore benefits from improved clarity and enjoyment during the dive. More and more divers are making the move to helitrox for their deeper dives. This program is comprised of two phases. The first phase focuses on Deep Diving techniques using nitrox while the second phase incorporates the use of helitrox for breathing. Divers will complete a minimum of 8 dives. All dives are executed as no decompression dives and with a maximum PO2 of 1.4 ata.

Prerequisites: Minimum 18 years of age. Participants must be certified as a Nitrox Diver with a minimum of 50 logged dives, including at least 10 dives with nitrox. Students must provide their own equipment for this course.

The course tuition for the NAUI Advanced Diver Program is $450 per diver and includes the following:

All instructional material including the NAUI Helitrox Diver Student Workbook and additional support materials provided by the instructor.
All classroom, pool and open water instruction.
Registration fees for your NAUI Deep Diver & Helitrox Diver certification cards.
