Certification as a NAUI Master Diver is the highest level of training and recognition for recreational divers. Master divers increase their safety and enjoyment of the sport by expanding their knowledge and skills. This program includes rigorous knowledge reviews combined with in-water applications designed to improve your performance as a diver! The NAUI Master Diver program includes approximately 27 hours of classroom activities plus independent study time and a minimum of eight (8) open water dives with an instructor. This program is required for candidates who plan to pursue leadership level training as a NAUI Divemaster or Instructor.

A NAUI Master Diver class is as exciting as it is demanding! Classroom topics include Applied Sciences to Scuba Diving, Diving Equipment, Diving Safety & Risk Awareness, Diving Environment, Underwater Navigation, Limited Visibility, Search & Recovery, Light Salvage and Deep Diving. In the open water students will participate in dives that include Navigation, Deep/Simulated Decompression Dive, Night Dive, Rescue, Search & Recovery and other optional dive experiences selected by the student. Prerequisites: Must be a certified scuba diver, minimum 15 years of age. No additional experience is necessary. Divers must provide their own personal equipment.

The course tuition for the NAUI Master Diver Program is $280 per diver and includes the following:

• All classroom and open water instruction.
• All instructional material including the NAUI Educational System with Master Diver textbook,  workbook, DVD, and additional support materials.
• Registration fees for your NAUI Master Scuba Diver certification card.
• Membership in the DAN Student Member program (if not already a DAN member)
• Free 6 month subscription to Dive Training Magazine (if not already a subscriber)
• Student discounts on equipment and future training at Discover Diving.
