NAUI Rescue Diver Course

Learn how to effectively manage your own risks in the water, plus be prepared to handle in-water problems and emergencies as a certified NAUI Rescue Diver. Course curriculum will focus on an understanding of diving medicine, risk awareness, as well as in-water rescue skills in a variety of environments. Candidates must complete a minimum of one open water session for certification. Participants who complete additional open water requirements and training as an O2 Provider may be awarded the certification as a NAUI Advanced Rescue Diver.

Prerequisites: Must be a certified scuba diver, minimum 15 years of age. No other dive experience is necessary. Divers must provide their own dive equipment, but rental packages are available if needed. Students must have current first aid and CPR training. These programs may be completed at Discover Diving if needed prior to certification as a NAUI Rescue Diver.

The course tuition for the NAUI Rescue Diver Program is $225 per diver and includes the following:

• All instructional material including the award winning NAUI Educational System with Rescue Diver textbook,  workbook, DVD, NAUI Rescue Diver Pak and additional support materials.
• All classroom, pool and open water instruction.
• Registration fees for your NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver certification card*
• Membership in the DAN Student Member program (if not already a DAN member)
• Free 6 month subscription to Dive Training Magazine (if not already a subscriber)
• Student discounts on equipment and future training at Discover Diving.

Additional Training Opportunities: Discover Diving also offers training programs for First Aid, CPR and O2 Provider. These programs are in addition to the Rescue Diver course curriculum, but may be scheduled to meet prerequisites. These training programs are not included in the course tuition for Rescue Diver.

* NAUI Advanced Rescue Diver certifications expire three years after certification and must be renewed. There is no expiration on NAUI Rescue Diver Cards. Participants selecting to complete requirements for both programs may request both certifications for an additional $30 certification fee.
